I am wanting to replace the blades on my rotary cutter that I got from my dad. Ever since I got it from him I have to have the cutter at an angle left to right for it to cut level. Of course one skid always seems to dig into the ground. Upon looking underneath the cutter I noticed that one of the blades is bent upwards. I want to go ahead and replace both blades and I am not having any luck from my manual finding the blades I need. I see TSC has replacement blades for Bush Hog. Will these work on my cutter too? The ones I see have a 1-1/2" hole in the blades to bolt to the stump jumper. My bolt is 1-1/8 dia. Also my manual says that I must torque the blade bolt lock nut to 600 ft. pounds.   My torque wrench doesn't go that high.

Any helped will be appreciated. Thanks

Found some blades the same measurements as my existing ones, so we will see if they work or not.

Ok guys i can't get the **** blade bolt nuts off:mad:  I have been working on it for 4 hours now. Soaking them with WD-40, using a 1-11/16" socket with a 3/4" breaker bar, plus a 5ft section of oil field pipe as a cheater and still can't get them loose.  According to the manual it says they are left hand threads. I should be turning to the right to loosen right? I don't know what else to do.

Continental-Belton is still in business, albeit through some name changes. They are now Ag-Meier, 1000 East 6th Ave, Belton, TX 76513. Phone 1-800-446-7319.

WD-40 isn't that great as a penetrating oil. I have had much better luck with PB Blaster (available at Walmart) or Aerokroil (industrial supply houses). May need to heat the nut with a torch also. I'd heat it with a torch to drive the old WD-40 out, let it cool a tad, then spray with the PB Blaster. Let soak, heat, turn until it breaks loose.

Yep, turn right to loosen.

I finally just gave up. Killing myself all day and getting no where. Plus I don't have a touch so heating is out of the question. Might just have to load it up and take it somewhere.

Run it buy your Kubota Dealer tomm morning and ask them to put their impact wrench to it.... should take all of about 15 mins to swap the blades.

Are you sure that they a left hand threads---Looks like the old style in the pic---most of them are right hand---give it a try---you can also look close at the top thread and determine if it is clockwise or counterclockwise!!!!
