I know this is a Bobcat attachment but I couldn't resist posting. I took these this past spring as we had to Rock hound our garden for the second time! I swear, we grow more rocks than anything. Here are some before after pics. Every spring my neighbor gets a rock hound for a contract job and lets me use it before taking it back. Cost me Zero! He is a great guy.

They are great! I used on after I built my house to put the lawn in.

Nice job.

What does it do with the stones? Bury them, collect or lay them in a long pile?

We used one of those before seeding our main lawn area a few years ago. I disked if first and then used the rockhound. It collects everything in the front 'basket', including rocks, clumps of sod, etc. All you have to do is dump it at the end of each pass. It leaves a perfect seedbed just as his pictures show.

Man, that is sweet. We don't have rocks like that here, I believe you could actually sale the rocks here for people to use for landscaping around their flower beds and stuff. I'm always finding rocks in the woods and bringing them to my rock pile for later use.

It will pick them up from about 3/4" to 4" or so. You just dump the bucket after every pass. I made a short rock wall behind the garden with them and the fescue covered it up.

I will sell all the rocks you want for $1 a ton if you come and get them! LOL

We don't have a problem finding rocks here in E. Tn

If I did that at my place, it would just create a hole in the ground.

looks cool, I may have to rent one.

How does it compare to a preseeder/harley rake? Aside from the fact it collects rocks rather than windrowing them, does it do seed bed prep etc as well?
