I'm in the market for a box scraper for my Kubota MX5100DT to repair and maintain about 1400 feet of gravel driveway. Any suggestions on what brand and model would be a good fit for this usage? I'm sure I'll use the box scraper for more projects in the future but the gravel driveway is my main need for the attachment. If you have any estimated pricing that would be beneficial as wll. Thanks for any advice in advance.

Beal you have a large enough tractor that you will want to get a size that covers your tire width. The best box blades are the heaviest ones you can find. Weight is your friend with a box as long as you have the power to pull it. Gannon makes some great heavy duty models.

Thanks Mark, I believe a 72inch model would be the right fit since my 72inch rotary cutter just clears my tire width. What would be a minimum weight that would give good results? One model I was looking at online was the Bush Hog MBX72 which says it weighs 640 pounds. Also looked at the LandPride site and their BB2572 model says it weighs 549 pounds. Will that 91 pound differnece be noticeable? I haven't checked out the Gannon models yet but I will soon.

For your tractor, go with the Woods/Gannon HD series. That is what I bought with my L5740. It weighs in at around 1100lbs. If you have hyraulics, get the version with the hydraulic rippers. I did and love it.

I have a MX5000 and a Bush Hog SBX720 box blade that I like a lot. It seems to be super tough. I can't say exactly what it weighs though.

I just checked the stats on the SBX seires. The SBX720 weighs 550 lbs. and the MBX720 is 640 lbs.
yet when you look at the construction they are built out of the same material. The MBX is a triple lug
and the SBX a double lug.

Anyone used the ABI TR3 "Landscaper" to gravel drive maintenance? Looks like an interesting implement with multiple uses.
