I would like to thank Andy Tatro and Markham Welding for their great products and fantastic service and thanks to Rob and Marko for their patience in putting up with my endless questions. I picked up my tractor last evening after having the Tatro Grapple installed. I wish that I had had the time to do the installation myself, but I am pleased with the way that it turned out. Rob, I decided to go with the solenoid diverter valve instead of the true 3rd function that you recommended and I only hope that I don't regret that decision in the future. I am using a floor mounted headlight dimmer switch to operate the solenoid. I have attached a few pictures of the installation. Once again thanks for a great website and for all the help.

Nice job, looks great. So low beam is closed and high beam is open? Just one click does it all?

Richard - Nice setup. Clever use of the dimmer switch to control the diverter function. I'm planning on building a grapple for my B7800, so your words and pictures are helpful. Thanks for posting!

Hi Dragon, actually when you actuate the switch you have grapple control via the dump curl loader valve and when you press the switch again which de-energizes the solenoid valve you now have normal bucket dump curl function. Seems to work quite well.

Richard,
Your set up looks great to me and you should be very happy with it.
The diverter valve is a very common alternative to the true 3rd function solenoid valve. In fact if the truth be known, it's very hard to get the true 3rd function to work exactly like you want because of our low flow with our CUT's hydraulics. However, if you feather the fel vlave properly and carefully, you can get it to work nicely that way.
Yours turned out very nice!
