Just wanted to post this, as I think its relevant. I recently bought a hydraulic top link from CCM, and had nothing but problems with it. Fine, that could happen to anyone. They handled the issue in an absolutely superb manner - Travis there was a pleasure to deal with. I am very happy with the top link I ended up with.

The service was really excellent - I'd deal with them again in a heartbeat.

What kind of problems were you having with the HTL?

Were the two toplinks the same model??

Did you get some kind of upgrade??

Was the first just defective and needed replacement?

first one was defective - just generally leaky. They replaced it with one that works perfectly so far.

The impressive thing was how well they handled the replacement process. Really a pleasure to deal with.

Did you make any changes to the hose routing to solve the slight interferance with the back panel on the tractor?

yes, sure did. The check valve is now at a 90 to what it was - ie goes out to the side instead of up or down.

I also need to put 90s on the hoses where they go into the remotes, as with the cylinder fully retracted and the 3pt all the way up they could get pinched there. That may be more of an issue since I put the delta hook on.

Which way do you have the cylinder mounted? Is the rod end of the cylinder attached to the implement or the tractor? It sounds like you may have it mounted back wards if you have excess slack in the hoses when the cylinder is retracted. Then again, I may have misunderstood. Post some pictures if you can.

rod end on the implement. Problem isn't excess slack, its that the b3030 crams a lot into a tight space - remote block and delta hook are fighting for space - I made a tough problem tighter.

90s are no biggie - and were already on the lines messicks ran forward, should have occurred to me they were there for a reason

I'm interested to see how they are going to handle my proble. I bought a hydraulic side link almost a year ago and just went to install it this week-end. The top end has a ball on it instead of the 'U' that goes into the ball on the tractor. So, I'll need to send it back for a replacement. Hopefully, the fact that I let it sit almost a year won't make this difficult.

I will report back...hopefully the great news about their great customer service.

Well, I just talked to Mark at CCM, all he wanted was the measurements for the side link I needed. He said I can send the incorrect one back in the box that the new one comes in. I'd say that's fantastic customer service :D
