Well, so much for the great deal at Northern Tool. I used my log splitter once and went to use it a 2nd time and it won't do anything. Yes, I've hooked up the hoses .
Question: It's been sitting outside uncovered for the few months I've owned it...do the cylinders rust up that easily on these things. With all the other tractor related cylinders that stay outside I would think not.
The only thing that's in it is a little switch that stops/allowes the fluid to get into the cylinder. So, what else could be wrong besides a rusted cylinder (or somehow hung-up) or the switch thing that opens for the fluid?
