Am looking at a Bush Hog rear blade 121 09 which I will pull with my
JD 5325. This one has 3 hydraulic cylinders. Runs about $3,750. Am buying this
blade to maintain some roads. Dealer said this blade is a real cadillac and recommends
the 9 footer and says the 5325's handle them with no problem.

Any one use this particular brand? Your thoughts would be appreciated. thanks much.

Have not used that brand, looked at it at the ag show and it looked pretty nice though. I would try to get a weight rating for the blade, not just a hp rating. I don't know what your JD setup weighs, but try to get a blade that is rated for how much it weighs, not just the hp. Price sounds good though. I just bought a Land Pride RBT45108 with skid shoes and no hydraulics for just under $3500. I had priced out the blade with hydraulics, but waited about a week and my luck the price jumps up a lot, so I could no longer afford them from Land Pride. I will be installing welded cylinders at a later time. :D

Don't know what all type of road maintenance that you need to do, but a road grader blade is an easier and faster way to maintain the tops of the road in my opinion. If you have ditches, then that would take a different implement.

Just food for thought, and here are a few pics of my new rear blade and of my road grader blade.
