l-39 and 6' brush hog
I have my eye on a 6' woods brush bull and wanted to make sure the L39 would be ok with it. I know the 5 horse per foot puts me at 30 pto horse power needed and the L39 is right there with 30.5 so seems like I should be OK. Just wanted to maybe hear from some others with 30 horse PTO running 6 footer and how it performs.

Re: l-39 and 6' brush hog
I pull a 6' Woods with my L3400 (27.5 PTO HP) and it covers my wheels and it works just fine. Then again I'm not chopping down trees with my cutter either...

Re: l-39 and 6' brush hog
Thanks Scott I went ahead and picked it up Got the woods brush bull 72 for 400 bucks looked to good to pass up since every other used brush hog I've seen for $400 was an old rusted out piece that looked like it had been sitting in the field for the last 5 years. Needs a set of blades and a little love here and there but overall I think I did pretty good.

I picked my Woods MD172 for (I think) around $300 at an auction. A little more $$$ for a seal and some pins / bolts I was up and running. I think your BB weighs more than my MD (Medium Duty) but you should be good to go and it will be waaaay better than a new light duty mower from a farm store.
