Default PTO water pump project-Start to Spraying

I finally got it finished and thought I would post the pics for anyone that may be wanting to do the same. You could use this for the garden, cleaning equipment in the field, cleaning cows( my father already wants to borrow it for that) and anything else you may think of. I bought the pump off ebay for practically nothing( maybe $20 total with shipping) and the fittings at Lowes and barrell/pallet from work. Easy and simple. With the tractor at 2000rpm's on the 540 pto it will spray 50 ft or so. I haven't ran it on the 800rpm pto setting yet. No need to at this time. It wold probably be a good pressure washer at that speed.

    Enjoy

I am not sure on the GPH on the pump. If I run the nozzle at half and the tractor at 1500 rpm's it takes about 15 min to spray 50 gallons or so. I would imagine that would put it about 200-250 gph? I normally just run the tractor about 1000 or so. Just depends on how big a hurry I am to spray.

You are obviously someone who enjoys mowing lawns!

I too would like more info on the pump. What breed is it? How is it mounted?

The only part I enjoy about mowing is when its done to stand back and look at how nice the mower cuts. I use this Toro Z master 62" cut to do the job.

This pump is a Hansen model and I just did a search on ebay and found a guy that had three of them he was selling. Agri-Supply sells a roller pump similiar to this one but they are $200-250 new. Here is the closeup picture again. I just used a piece of 1 x 1 angle iron and two bolts to hold a piece of chain and ran it through the hitch hookpup with a pin. Works great.

Here is a picture of just the pump. It has two holes in the bottom for mounting the angle iron.

And the front of the pump.

    Hope this helps!
