I've had both a 7' Woods and a Landpride 2584...medium duty. I traded my Woods for the Landpride. Both are well-made, but the gauge wheels on the Landpride were bigger, more stout, and further from the tines, allowing them to swing around for backing up. I admit to severly abusing my Landpride with a land clearing project and found the darn thing kept asking for more...so I gave it more...stones, branches, dirt, roots, stumps, etc. Bent a few tines, but none broke...and I was able to bend the tines back into approximate alignment.
The Woods however, had better overall fit n' finish, better paint, better color, better 3ph pin attachment, and sturdier stand. I think the tines are very similar and would take the same abuse without breaking. Both companies use good steel. The only thing I prefer about the Landpride is the gauge wheel set.
If/when you decide to buy, I would suggest going with a medium duty rake if you plan on using it for land clearing or grading. You can use the extra weight to keep the tines planted, digging, or staying on top of the pile your dragging. Have fun...the rakes are a great attachment.
