John Deere (scotts) Riding Mower grass catcher
I have been looking for a grass catching attachment for a John Deere (scotts) riding lawn mower model number L17.542. Build date 060402A. The John Deere site does not even accept the model number when I type it in their model number seach engine. Any ideas?

MJD,
Here is a link to the JD website for your model number(it is under the non current models, Scotts brand).
Scotts Tractors/Mowers (Non-Current)
You can then click the link for attachements and it will tell you the model number of grass catcher you need.

this unit was sold by home depot under license agreement. i get belts, filters, blades, etc at either my local deere dealer or home depot. you can probably find a bagger at either as well. just tell them it's a scott's deere and any dealer should be able to find what you need. they are also similar to the L110 and other models currently being sold at home depot.
ampKubota BX24 (loader, hoe, 60" belly); Ford 800 tractor; Scott's/Deere 42" mower; 5' and 6' rear blade; 54" Howse tiller; 20' 7,000 lb carhauler trailer; 2 other trailers; 5' dethatcher; 10" single bottom moldboard plow; middle buster plow; 600 lb roller; 3pt auger; front tire chains; Stihl and Honda small engine equip.
Growing with you season by season.

Just looking at the deck and chute I suspect the L series might work. You may have to do some fitting but if you install high lift blades it should work well enough. Here is a picture of the 2348 deck from Deere parts. When you search for parts enter "2348" leave off the "s" in the parts catalog.
