It is 3 16 bottoms. At first I thought i hit a stump, but I couldn't find one...

I wish I cold post pics..

It's the long tubular piece that has the pins on both ends that atach to the rear lift arms. The left hand pin screws in a plate - that plate broke off of the main shaft. The main shaft just pokes through two large holes on the frame.

So I need to either weld the link pin back on or buy a new shaft....

where can I get parts for a 101?

If you have full access to where it broke I would suggest welding it. There will be local welding shops around and should be one who has mobile equipment and will come to your plow saving you loading it for just a little more.

New Holland bought Ford and if anyone has new parts they should. kt

Sigh....thanks KT....I just got off the phone with the New HOlland/Ford tractor dealer, and they said no new parts are available for the 101. He said only way was to find another one and scrap it out....or weld mine.

Surely there is a supplier of aftermarket parts for these? Has anyone here restored a Ford 101 plow? Seems like I recall a thread where a guy got coulters, shanks, etc. ???

I did the same thing with a two bottom Dearborn plow. I took it to a welding shop, and they put it right back together. It has held up so far, but I am curious if it is now weaker at the weld and prone to break again.
