We have a big Befco post hole digger, and it is a beast to take on and off our M4900. One day, after setting up for a big party, we had the idea to dig a hole with the auger, and let it sit in there. We went as low as we can go with the 3pt, sso it is at the perfect height to put on and off. I was just wondering if anyone else does this. If not, you should seriously consider doing so, it is great help!

I do. But I don't go as low as I can, just enough to make it stand up on it's own.

I dont know if I would go as low as you can go. I would be worried that the ground around it would close is and would not be able to get it out without some muscle and a pipe wrench. I guess it really depends on what type of soil you have. Also it would propably rust quicker. I usually hang mine from an old swing set that we have.

I built a stand on wheels that puts it right at attach / remove height. Just roll it over and boom done in about 3-5 minutes.

Probably have to right click and save it to your desktop or to some folder that you can navigate to pretty easily.

Then in the "Advanced" reply page click on Manage Attachments. There's more info in this thread. (Thanks JimBrown)
