If you choose to use a landscape rake you might want to try and spin your rake 180 degrees so its facing backwards.
Very innovative, DIRT.
I just got my first landscape rake and plan to use it reversed, as you
describe, but attached to the FEL. Mostly I want to be able to clean up
several hundred feet of asphalt road that gets fully covered with tree
droppings.
As for logging slash, I think the best way is a grapple on the FEL. That
way you can lift it up into burn poles, too.
