I can't believe I got this far and then be so disapointed....
I have a cub 7254. I picked up a used 48" PTO driven JD snowblower and front hitch and adapted it to bolt up to the cub. The drive shaft goes nicely to the hitch and the blower fits perfectly. The hydraulics work great - lifts up and down and the chute turns crisply. All good so far... And a lot of work....
First run down the driveway - no snow out the chute and it is coming out the sides of the front.... What's wrong - the blower is running in the wrong direction!!! Fan and auger backwards! Yes Martha - I did not think to consider the rotational direction of a large Cub vs. a JD CUT.
Does anybody have ideas on how to solve for this?? PTO reversing gearbox? Change the gearbox on the JD blower?
I'm lost and depressed - oh yeah - it is going to snow tonight!!! Minnesota...
Also - has anybody figured out how to get these kawaski engines to start in the cold weather??
