I was thinking of getting a HF Quick 3 pt hitch adaptor because they were on $70 but I think I will wait and get Pats easy change, once I have some extra cash saved up. HA.

I understand the concept and think I would have a Quick Hitch of some sort if every implement fit the same. One of the things I love about my Kubota is the telescoping 3ph arms. Until they standardize the way 3ph implements fit I will stick to the telescoping arms. Everything fits. Just get close and your home free. IMHO this should be a standard feature on all tractors.

I agree. The quick hitch racket may be more of a problem than a solution. I use a post hole digger, disk, disk mower, round bale unroller, fertilizer spreader, and tractor blade on my Mahindra and Ford 2910 and don't have trouble hooking them up on either tractor. Swinging arms, telescoping arms, and the height adjustment on the arms gives plenty of room to maneuver.

As I read others experiences on here it kinda makes me laugh. It seems that I'm not the only one who was really excited to get home after work, and try and get a new (or at least new to me) implement X attached and running, only to find oneself standing there, 2 hours later, with the sun setting, a bunch of wrenches and a side grinder laying around, a lost nut, washer or both, and not a single inch of dirt moved, grass mowed, or fertilizer spread!!!! All the while thinking "but it works so well on my ballast box," and "ASAE, thanks for nothin'!!!"

These QH's are an obsession, somehow linked to the Colonel's Chicken AND David Koresh......

Yep, its not the hitch, its the implements. There is no standard so things are all over the place. I have a Ford bush hog, Caroni finish mower, Woods back blade, and other implements none are the same.

There IS a ASAE standard for CAT1 3PH implements, but very few manufacturers follow them>

I find this rather funny just because these quick hitches are suppose to make things easier but it seems like they are creating more work

Oh and I just use the 3pt and find it works with everything I got with no problems.

I agree. I don't know if you're talking about all hitches or just the HF. I'm talking about all of them. I think they're more trouble than they're worth. The several I've tried to use didn't fit exactly right and didn't really save time even if they did.

You can add me to the list of people frustrated by the HF/Speeco/Homier supposed quick hitchs. I bought one at a Homier sale and it fits nothing. The lower arms are only about 26+ inches apart (didn't take a measuring tape with me when I bought it). I called and emailed Homier multiple times after I bought it, and again recently. The feeling I get from them is "Well, too bad. We've got your money, and don't give a rodent's hind quarter." The least helpful people I have ever dealt with.

When we farmed we use all Cat III equipment and I just moved adjustments on each equipment to fit. Well our JD 260 disc mower was Cat II or Cat I so that didn't work. It just seems no matter what you do, you will have to take it off for something.

I purchase a Cat I QH from TSC only to realize it wouldn't fit my JD disc mower safely on the Cat I side. All other equipment is Cat I, supposedly although nothing really fits. I just took the QH back because it was more of a pain than useful.

If you can standardize all your equipment that's fine, but the manufacturers should do that for you. IMO, it makes them sell easier.

Yeah, that's true. If I were buying another PTO operated attachment, I'd just be sure to get a Frontier or some brand that was iMatch compatible out of the box.

I'm still for QH's, Once you get everything set up it's great and worth the initial modding effort. just had alot of trouble with the HF one. I didn't have that problem of it being to narrow, that would have really flipped me out and would have probably returned it.

This whole HF thing is new to me as we just got our first local store a couple of months ago. the grand opening was like a Red Neck New Years Eve Party

I'm curious, why did you have to use a different method to open up the top hook on the HF QH? Was there a reason you couldn't just grind on it like you did the lower hooks?
