Front mount snowblowers - MF 1410 vs 2360.
Hi All,
What are the differences between an MF 1410 vs MF 2360 front mount snowblowers?? At some point in the future, we will be getting one for our 1523. I figure we can build a mount, then add the blower later. I know of one that has been sitting at a dealer for almost 2 years now, gonna wait it out and see what they will let it go for, if it is gone, oh well. We can find another. Thanks,
Will

Erskine makes a nice one for several tractor models. Let me know if you want info and pricing.

The Erskine ones all run off the rear pto as far as I know. There are many different tractors and I have'nt dealt with them all, but I believe the blowers are all the same except width/size. It just different tactors have different mounts. I'll see what I can do.

Re: Front mount snowblowers - MF 1410 vs 2360.
The MF ones run off the mid mount. We priced a MF one and almost had a heart attack, so we figure we will build our own mount for a plow, and keep our eyes peeled for a front mount blower, eoither a 1410 or a 2360.
Thanks.Thanks,
Will

Re: Front mount snowblowers - MF 1410 vs 2360.
When I ordered my tractor (GC2310) a year ago, I got it with the 2360 blower. At that time, the additional $$ was around 3900, which surprised me, until I saw what was involved. In addition to the blower, there's a "quick-hitch assembly" that mounts to the front of the frame, after the grille guard's removed. The 2360 is 50" wide and seems well adapted to the 2310's power.
Then there's a driveshaft extension that goes forward from the mid-PTO, as you suspected, that connects to the rear of the quick-hitch. The price included electric chute controls and installation by the dealer, which is somewhat time-consuming, but fairly straightforward mechanically. The quick-hitch business is just that; it makes installation/removal of the blower quite easy.
Sounds like the prices have gone up a fair amount. I don't regret it one bit, however, as it works very well.

Just a thought................ since the front blowers for MF, Kubota, and NH are all made by R A D in Canada, how about purchasing the appropriate front quick hitch/subframe for your tractor new. Then, look for a used front blower made by R A D (in whatever color you find) to save money. I know i've seen several on Craigslist. It would be logical to assume they are all interchangeable...... so it may be worth looking into.

Re: Front mount snowblowers - MF 1410 vs 2360.
I don't think they sell directly to consumers, but they have been great whenever i had a question about their product. I called with a few questions and the woman answering the phone connected me directly to a technician who was more than helpful. My only problem was my french was worse than his english........ but we worked through the language barrier and he helped me with my questions.
