This is a tractor site that was in an old issue on Mother Earth News. They sell Jinma's and some other Asian import stuff. This is their haying equipment. Targeted mainly for CUTs btwn about 20- and 50-hp. Pretty cool. I don't know much about hay equipment, but these seem kinda pricey. Anyhow, it's neat stuff.-

I know a fella that makes Kudzu hay for his 5 dairy cows and he made a tedder/rake like that one and a disc mover out of a 3 foot stamped sheet. The drum mower is used to on his small er tractor and for grass hay, and the tedder is used on both Kudzu and grass when he has a smaller spot. He bales with an old AC baler that make rolls a little bigger around and half again longer than that one. We doesnt want his main baling equipment used in Kudzu for fear of seed contamination. The little tractor is a 1700 Yanmar that he hobbies with. 2 years ago with the hay shortage he profitted with the Kuzu hay in the smaller bale to an exotic animal farm.

The first thought I had when I saw the original post was those old AC "RotoBalers". They're still around, albiet ancient and few. I've seen good useable examples sell for under $500. They'll run just fine on 20 or 25 hp.

I looked at all that stuff but decided to hire the job out. Seems that I would have to be in the business a long long time for it to pay for itself and probably would not last that long.
