Has anyone actually got one of these and can you tell me of your experience? I like the idea of putting one on because of the broad array of attachements that are readily available especially on the used market and at great prices. I also like the improved visability of this system.

Thanks,

They are pretty popular especially if you might take off your bucket to put on pallet forks, a grapple etc. I had one put on my new tractor when I ordered it.

I service a Kubota L4200 with whatever model Kubota loader that was sold with it. The owner put a Kasco SSL QA adapter on it and had a plate welded to the bucket. The Kasco QA extended the cutting edge of the bucket some 6-8 inches (I don't reacll exactly) from the pivot pins, severely reducing the loader's curl capacity. That's the downside to this modification. There's great convenience and versatility, but as an add-on, there is a side effect.

The one I am looking at doesn't require any welding as far as I can tell. Here is what I am looking at.

skid steer adapter to fit front end tractor loader - eBay (item 330290338236 end time Dec-28-08 13:47:29 PST)

Doesn't look like a bad design. Anyone know of a better design, sytem, price?

That one on Ebay is inexpensive for sure, but i'd get one made specifically for your loader if possible ........perhaps from a company such as ATI. The problem with the one on Ebay is it will put your bucket out considerable farther from the pivot pins, reducing the weight you will be able to lift. If you have alot more lifting capacity than you need, then go for it.

That won't require welding. But unless you are ready to throw your bucket away and buy a new one that is compatible with that QA attachment, you will need to cut the pin mounts off your bucket and weld a mount plate to it. A QA on the loader and pin mounts on the bucket would be worthless. They are selling part of the program. That attachment on eBay will have the same dimensional deficiency I mentioned with the Kasco unit.

Yes. Buy one from the mfg of your loader. That way you get only a 2 to 4" extension beyond std. Almost negligible.

I had a ATI Tach-All skid steer type Q/A on my B3030 LA403 FEL and it worked perfectly. I would look into the ATI one.

ATI Corporation - Tach-All(tm) Quick Attach

My new Grand L 3240 has the Kubota factory skid steer type Q/A.

The only downside to a Q/A as others have stated is a loss of some FEL lift capacity. The upside is the quick change between attachments. I switch between a bucket, forks and a grapple. The switch takes a couple of minutes max.

Good luck.

My loader (Branson / Ansung BL10-S) came with one. I have 2 buckets, one for snow, and the factory bucket with a 12" brush guard along its full width.
Switching back and forth is easy and quick. I plan to buy some QA forks too, and it will be great for that.

I also leave my snow bucket outside when my tractor's parked. It gives me extra room to keep 3 cars, a 6.5 x 12 utility trailer, and my tractor all inside my 30 x 45 ploe shed, with room left over for my work area, and a half dozen storage racks.

Even in cold weather (it was 9 below when I plowed yesterday) it was a 30 second affair to climb down and hook it up.

According to Branson's specs, I do not pay any penalty in capacity by having it - It's rated the same as the other BL10 series loaders.
