I found an Allis Chambers 2 Row Corn/Bean planter in excellent condition for $800. Is that a good price?

That'd be Allis CHALMERS. Value depends on model and condition of planter. AC had a few very good planters. The going rate for a GOOD 2-row mounted planter is from $600 on up. I've sold a couple (Deere) planters for over $1200.

Can you get any plates for it you will need or want? How about any other wear part? If not, no price is good.

It came with 2 extra seed plates, 2 extra wheel sprokets (for different seed spacing), 2 extra rubber wheels (for packing the seed after planting), a drawbar for 3-point connection and an extra chain for the chain drive.
He put it on his tractor and demonstrated how it works. It also came with a parts list and recommended seed/plate/spacing list.
I thought it was worth $800 so I bought it. By the way, the seller is my cousin so I he will help if I have questions about it.
