potato harvest equiptment

I am looking for a small potato harvestor,I am going to plant about one half of an acre:a bit much to dig by hand.Any-one have any ideas.I thought about a rock bucket for my tractor;that could do dual purpose,I have plenty of rocks to pick.

Nothing about potatoes but that's a good looking pointer, what's his breeding?

Thanks, he is Elhew English pointer from Cliff Miles in Alabma.We have four of his dogs in the area.We own two.We had the three the picture I posted is our Cayne,unfortunately he was killed by a car Dec.2 2008.We have two males from Cliff,two males and a female that we bred,and a female from Chenango Valley Kennels.I own an uplands preserve,so our dogs get lots of bird work.

I have a potato plow which I use for planting to dig the rows and then I have used it for digging up the potatoes, but it really is a job. I have found that I would have to go over the same row several times to get all or at least most of the potatoes. I bought mine from Tractor supply. It would be nice if it have some sort of an attachment that would hook to the back of the plow and sift the dirt away from the potatoes, this would let the potatoes fall on top of the dirt, maybe?

or this might be better for planting? Not sure if I could get the wife to sit in the seat though!

Something like this would be much nicer for digging the potatoes. I keep looking for a single row potato digger, hard to find used and the new ones are way too expensive.

I have the middle buster from tractor supply,I guess I'll try that for harvest,it works well for planting.I will have to keep the rows narrow enough to straddle with the tractor.
