I can tell you how to bend tines every time for sure. Pick up a log (fairly good sized one) on the end with it sticking straight out and back up while turning. That is a huge twisting force and it bends tines. All and all I would probably buy the BoDozer again because of its versatility for a variety of things. I can load logs on the trailer and then rake the area clean when I'm done a set the brush aside. If I've got a 4" x 40' log I can hold it tight completely off to one side to cut to firewood length. Or I can grab a 48" log and go with it.But I would like to try another version sometime. That bottom pick is ash about 28" at the bottom and 24" the rest of the way.

The extra tines to decrees the spacing to 4.5 inches looks like its only at the bottom. Shouldn't they also be added to the rear? Seems like the reason to add extra tines would be to keep smaller items from falling through but looks like they could still fall through the back. Am I missing something?

Reasonable point but in practice "stuff" doesn't usually fall out the rear of the grapple but does fall out the bottom. Jiggling the load as you move along helps gravity suck things down. Typically the load is compressed so there is relatively little movement of the load backwards.
