Oliver 2 Bottom Plow / Oliver Disc Harrow / John Deere Spring Tooth Harrow
I am new to this site and am looking for some help regarding some equipment I am considering selling. I have been the keeper of my grandfather's farm equipment for the past 12 years, but now I am considering selling a few of the pieces. I am looking for some honest opinions on what you think the current market value is for the following pieces:
Oliver 2 Bottom Plow Model 324 Serial No. 270 (3 point hitch)
Oliver Disc Harrow Model 330 Serial No. 2346 (3 point hitch)
John deere Spring Tooth Harrow (3 point hitch)
My grandfather was the original owner and they were all kept inside until the past 5 years. I was hoping to use them for a garden, but I don't think I ever will. I would like see someone else get some use out of them instead of having them just sit here.
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Oliver 2 Bottom Plow / Oliver Disc Harrow / John Deere Spring Tooth Harrow
From consignment auctions in this part of the country (Kentucky), assuming good working shape, wear parts not overly worn:
Plow $250-300, cultivator $100-150, disk $400-$500.
If you are going to sell, this is the time of year to do it.
You might want to check your area Craigslists for prices others are asking, as the market varies geographically. Hope this helps.__________________________________________

Hi. My name is Brian and I live in Silver Spring, MD near Burtonsville. I have always wanted a garden and just started growing seedlings. To my amazement I came across your listing as I need the equipment to start the garden. I already have the tractor. Please call Brian at 301-806-0066 if you are serious about selling the impliments. I am trying to start my garden now.
Thanks

Foodplots prices for the equipment are about what you would find in this part of Pa. Everything looks well maintained and in good shape. The disc would bring the best price as it is the most useful of the three.

Re: Oliver 2 Bottom Plow / Oliver Disc Harrow / John Deere Spring Tooth Harrow
Oliver plows are just about the best ever. 2-bottom plow in good shape, $350 (+ or -)
Disc looks to be in decent shape. $350 to $400
Field cultivator? Hmmmm? Not that common of an item. Not a HUGE demand, but with supply low, maybe $250.There are three kinds of men;
1.) The ones that learn by reading
2.) The few who learn by observation
3.) The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

Re: Oliver 2 Bottom Plow / Oliver Disc Harrow / John Deere Spring Tooth Harrow
I very seldom use my field cultivator anymore. The problem being is that they drag up every stone in the field. I think they would be great in stone free ground, my spike tooth harrow does the same thing.
