Woodsman brand cord saw

I have a woodsman 3 pt cord saw. I can not figure out wich way to turn the nut to remove the blade. Does anyone know how? I have been busting my knuckles for hours and can not seem to get it.

If like most the blade is on the right when you're facing the back of the tractor, the thread should be right-hand (righty-tighty; lefty-loosey). The blade turns toward you at its top, tending to tighten, not loosen, a right hand thread. Did you try a propane torch or some such on the nut? Or a wind wrench?

Yes it is exactly as you described it....I have tried both ideas, would you happen to have any other tips? i think I may have to get a more powerful propane torch.

Try some PB Blaster and an impact wrench.

One of the methods that has worked for some folks is to use candle wax on the threads. Light a candle and let the melted wax drip into the threads. Wait overnight or so to let the wax wick itself into the frozen threads, then hit it with the impact wrench. You can do a search for threads containing the word "candle" to read those posts from last year or the year before.

Looking at the blade from the side, the teeth point down, then the nut is loosened the same way as the teeth to the left or counter clockwise. If the nut is rusted, try automatic trany oil, and let it soak.
