Has anyone heard of a "Hopper Hoe, a hole revolution in digging", 3point backhoe attachment? I acquired this thing and I think I can make it work on my Ford 1510, but I am not really sure how to hook it up. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

That's very unique!!! I have no help for you but will watch what comes of it. I like the; "I acquired this thing" comment :D Do you think it was made commercially or did someone weld it together... ...after a few beers :)

It looks like the out riggers are somewhat "fixed" and are either attached in the down position or up? Does not seem to have been used much.

The out riggers are fixed. It seems to me it was manufactured, but it could be a DIY rig.

Looks like it's styled after a towable unit. If you replace those big loose bolts with lower lift arm attachment pins can you pin the forward tube to your drawbar somehow? The connection will have to slide when you operate the lift arms.

Dear D.H. I own and opperate a Hopper Hoe. I was helpfull in thier design "back in the day". (It never took off by the way.) Designed as as towable trencher, The first modles were "seated". A five lever operation system was hydro. with a LoveJoy coupling to the pump. Normal operation was by a Michigan single cylinder motor. Parts are still available for ALL models! They were built in Bakersfield California. What EVER you do, DO NOT throw it away.
I will try to post a Vid on YouTube if you wish. Beau... (beau_miller@ymail.com)
