I just bought an Japanese rototiller (Kubota) and I will start to deal with some repair 9specially rust) and have to change the blades.
On the body of the rototiller, it have some sticker in Japanese showing how to place the blades and another one showing how to place them if rotate clockwise or counter clockwise.
So, I understand it can be a reverse rototiller, isn't it?
My problem is: how to make it turn counter clockwise?
the bearings and chain are on the center of the rototiller not at the edge (left or right).
Another point is: I have to buy a pto shaft. The guy from the shop told me, I have to cut it if it's to long or it can broke, ... I try to find what must be the size you had to cut? what do you suggest?

Can you post some pictures.

How many shafts are on the gearbox.

It may be as simple as turning the gearbox over.

I just bought an Japanese rototiller

Just wondering; would that tiller be set up to accommodate PTO regardless of the direction of rotation?:D

Don't some Japanese tractors have a PTO that rotates opposite to what we think is normal?:D

I bet if you remove the larger flange where the input shaft is you will find that it can be turned 180 degrees and or the gear can be placed on the opposite side which would give reverse rotation

That's what I was willing to try but I open the small flange and I saw a large bearing so I stopped at that moment to ask for info.
I will try this and post picture and what happend.
Thank you
