Looking at a ALLIS 303 Baler

Is anyone familiar with them, I found one local just up the road, he had that and a NH 66 for sale. I read that the 66 was mostly wood so I wasn't interested.


The 303 is a small twine model are parts available. When I searched online there wasn't much listed for the 303. So I wasn't sure how popular they were.

The 303 was built from 1963 to 1969. I have never seen one since all the balers I have been around were either John Deere or New Holland. I think the only wooden part on the NH 66 baler was the wadboard. The wadboard moves the hay from the pickup into the bale chamber.
I have a sales brochure for the NH 66 and it lists the balers capacity of up to 7 tons per hour. Both balers are the earliest designs from both companies. Allis Chalmers was noted for producing the Roto-Baler which made a small round bale that was comparable in size to small square balers.
