I have a TSC trailer mover that I use a lot. A friend welded some 3/8" grab hooks to it so I can use it to skid some logs out of the woods. When the 3 pt is down I hope to wrap a chain around the log and then the other ends through the grab hooks and then raise so the log is off the ground. Friend said the hooks would be strong enough.

Painted with Rustoleum Charcoal Gray to get it close to the Kubota Gray

Just looking for opinions or comments.

Thanks,
John

I would weld some hooks as low as possible so you can use them to pull with. having them up high makes it unstable when pulling. Otherwise great job

I skid logs out of the woods using a similar hitch - I just wrap the chains around the ball on the top and away I go. The hooks are a nice touch.

I have the same set-up on my trailer hitch but mine is all homemade. I use them a lot but if you are doing any heavy pulling you are putting a lot of stress on the top link, its better to pull with the draw bar.
