Guys...I have a JD3320 and am looking to get an easy hitch system. I really like what I have read about the Pats product. Do I need a stabilizing bar since my lower links have pins?

I'm not familier with the smaller JD tractors but I'm assuming that what you mean by "pins" is that you can lock your side sway bars to maintain spacing on your lower links. If that's the case....No, you do not need the stabilizing bar.

I've got Pat's Class II on one of mine and that's the main advantage over a Quick Hitch...I can adjust my spacing to fit different implements. Standardized spacing is a wonderful theory but sadly few manufacturers follow it. They work great and I wouldn't use anything else.

Maybe, maybe not.

You only need the bar to hold the correct width at hook up. Your swaybar pins might not get it close enough, and then again it might.

Somebody on here was using a short piece of PVC pipe between the pins. Had a different pipe for each implement .

I am not sure what you mean by this statement. I have the Pat's and have been VERY happy with them. I think you will need some method to hold the 3 point's lift arms in place as you connect to the implement(s). PEC has a "spreader bar" to sell you....or you can use a length of 1" plastic pipe to spread the links as stated here earlier....and you can get by without....but its a hassle without some means to position the links when hooking up.

I just made my own telescoping tube setup as shown below. Just remember to remove and stow it away after your hooked up. The bolts at the ends will fit into the holes found on the PEC.

I have the pin style side links on my tractor also, and there are plenty of adjustment holes. So far, I have always been able to set the correct spacing with the side links, no matter what implement I have hooked up.

I have both the QH and the stabilizer bar on my L3400. Dumb me didn't think about not releasing the stabilizer bar before using the implement and bent mine. But it no biggie - it still works fine.

OTOH, I don't think it's really needed. I personally wouldn't buy it again, but it's cheap enough if you don't have any stabilizers. Since you do, I think I'd skip it...
