finish mower front wheels touch tractor wheels
Anyone else have this issue? My deere 4100 CUT rear tread comes in contact with my Arts-Way 60" finish mower front wheels when I raise the 3 point, or if I try to mow in reverse (and the front wheels swing around).
An the mower, there's a flat plate of metal to which each lower link pins attach. I suppose I could replace those with something a bit longer.
Also.. should the link pins point out or in? When I got it, they pointed in. My box blade points out. I switched it to point out,but then that spreads the linkage apart and draws those front wheels even closer to the tractor.

Re: finish mower front wheels touch tractor wheels
Cat 1 should be 26" apart. My box blade is exactly that. This finish mower would be about 26-1/2" or so with the pins pointing out. I need spin them back around and deal with the fact the front mower tires come in contact with the tractor tires. That's rather dangerous driving down the road -- if the mower tire comes incontact with the tractor tire, the rotation will try to pull the mower up and toward the operator.
