So after reading all the Quick Hitch threads and weighing the pro's and con's of getting the very cheap Harbor Freight QH, I decided to bite the bullet and go with the Land Pride QH. This is offered through my local tractor dealer, who has recently sold me my tractor, 2 Land Pride implements and a Woods implement.
I'm not terribly handy, and I wanted something that I knew was going to work right out of the box. No drilling, welding or bending required. Since 2 of my 3 implements (the RTR0550 tiller and a blade) were LP and were stated QH compatible, and since the Woods cutter was also branded QH compatible, I felt that this was my best shot at minimum work and maximum smiles.
Got a chance to mount it yesterday and after a little adjustments to the top hook, found that I could backup to my tiller, grab it with all 3 hooks, lift it and without getting off the seat, lock it in place.
I did have to get off the seat for the PTO hookup, but I found that the LP QH was not terribly in my way, and it was relatively easy to hook up. No more difficult then usual for the PTO attachment.
When I purchased the LP QH, my tractor sales man and I chatted and I brought up the HF and he admitted that he has seen a few of them come in on the back of tractors. He did not comment on wether they worked or not, but he felt that their quality was 'not there'. About what you would expect him to say.
I'm satisfied with my LP QH and would recommend it. I paid about $350 for it.
