I have a 6 1/2' King Kutter, boxed frame disk that I'm getting ready to use later this summer as I prepare the land to plant a lawn. I am looking for ideas of what I can drag behind the disk to give the land a really smooth finish. Obviously, the large field cultivators, disk, etc. have drag harrows, spring teeth, treader wheels, and such that they have attached for a final finish. I do have a 6' wide by 5' long, heavy wire grate. It is either a wire pallet or shelf for industrial shelving. I've thought about dragging it behind but ideally, I'd like to have something that would lift off the ground when I lift the disk.
what to drag behind 3pt. disk ?

Run a couple of bars back off the frame of your disk to support your harrow, your wire shelf should help, or get a 6' chain harrow and hang it from the new bars behind disk.
