I have a choice between these two 72" finish mowers. I can't find any definitive data on either on the internet to tell me which to lean toward. I have a Kubota B2910 30 hp to pull it with.

Any thoughts? Thank you.

How is the dealer situation where you live? Are there several dealers for each brand nearby? I know you can order parts and have them shipped, but it can be nice to have a dealer around, and if either of those brands have a severely limited dealer network in your area, then I'd skip it and buy the other (or another brand with a more widespread dealer network).

Good point. Looks like there are more Rhino dealers around here.

Are they about equal in quality, though? Based on price, it looks like they're comparable.

Rhino - is better my shredder, post hole digger and a borrowed finish mower are all Rhino.

You want soild service with your product - get a Rhino.

I bought the post hole digger used - and called Rhino to have them send me the manual - it arrived in a few days - for free, and then I got a follow up call to confirm I had gotten it.

I've always considered Rhino and Bush Hog top notch implement brands (and Woods too, once upon a time). I can't speak for Buhler/Farm King, since I don't recall ever seeing any of their implements at a dealer down here. How are the prices? If they're fairly close, then without a doubt get the Rhino. If the Farm King is significantly cheaper, I really can't see where you'd go wrong with it, since even King Kutter finish mowers get the job done, and the Farm King is supposed to be higher quality than KK.

What are the prices you were quoted on them and what state are you in?

Well the guy sold the Rhino before I could make a final decision, so I'm buying the Buhler/Farm King for $900.

There is a dealer right up the highway, so I'm comfortable with that.

I have a rhino and couldn't be happier with it.. keep in mind that Rhino and probably others have different grades of mowers... light weight, middle and heavy duty... of course which one depends on the terrain you are using it on.. I went on the advice of my dealer who is aware of the conditions where it will be used.. he suggested the middle weight one and I've been a happy camper..

I had a 60" Buhler \ Farm King that I used with my 20hp Mahindra and it was a great mower, only problem I had was the inflatable tires, I sold the tractor and mower and now own a 72" Woods, I think the Buhler was every bit a good as the Woods, and the quality of cut was as good or better than the Woods, you will be pleased with your new purchase.
