I just bought a L4400 kubota, with the quick attach loader. The dealer wants $1100 for a set of 48 inch forks. Does anyone know a company, with quality attachments, and reasonable prices. Of course shipping is an issue.
Also keep an eye out on Craigslist, Ebay, etc. for used ones. I've seen them advertised for $400 or so. Check your local Bobcat, etc. dealers for used ones.
I bought new 3k lb skidsteer forks for $450 at auction. New 5K forks are selling for $595. Ask around at local welding shops some weld up these as a time filler. Mine came from a local trailer maker.
You can also check scrap metal yards, they usually have forks from old forklifts, that you can pickup cheap. Weld them to a QA plate and you have an inexpensive set.
I bought a set from Everything Attachments - Skid Steer Attachments, Tractor Attachments, 3 Point Hitch Attachments they seem to have a good selection and free shipping. Hope this helps. Mark
JD dealer sold me Horst forks for $600 when I bought my tractor. Mine has the JD quick attach but they can set them up for what ever you want. They are Horst's 3700 LB. HEAVY DUTY PALLET FORK. Horst makes several different weight class forks. maybe find a dealer close by so shipping would not be as big an issue.
