Dearborn 2 disc plow
I've found a Dearborn 2 disc plow that looks like the one in the picture but it is not red. Picture is from Sweet Tractor web site.
I'm told that "around these parts" the disc plow would be better (easier to use) than a 2 bottom moldboard plow.
The same place has Dearborn 2 bottom plows 10-156 and a 10-56 (hard to read) and a couple with no ID plates. Most would need new wear parts, if they are available
Opinions? Advice.

They don't get hung up on roots or rocks. What's your land like "around these parts"?

Re: Dearborn 2 disc plow
I rebuilt a Dearborn 10-156 2 bottom plow and had no trouble finding parts for it. I found most of what I needed locally.

Re: Dearborn 2 disc plow
Thanks for the info. I think I will go ahead and get this disc plow and maybe get a moldboard plow when I find a good one at the right price and not too far to drive to get it.
I am interested to try and learn to use the implements, as with most of these tractor related activities. Much harder than it looks.

Re: Dearborn 2 disc plow
i also have found a dearborn 2 disc plow
just wondering how yours worked out
did the old plow turn the soil good
could you keep it in the ground.
from looking at the dearborn model, it appears the trail wheel ( that holds the plow straight) seams a little light.
Have used an old AC snap couple 2 disc plow made by the athens plow co and it had a very heavy trail wheel to keep plow straight.
any info on the plow would be useful, before i buy the it.
Thanks,
Fred
