On the valve is a "A" and "B" circuit.

Does anyone know if it makes any difference how the hyd hoses are connected to either A or B?

Thanks.

Is this the true 3rd function valve or the diverter valve? Sounds like the diverter valve...what kind of switch did it come with?

Kenny,

It's the Electric over Hyd valve kit.

On the Elec/Hyd Valve where the couplings attach, one is marked "A", the other is marked "B".

I just wondered if it makes any difference how they are attached.... is A for hyd oil supply and B for return........ or does it make a difference?

Thanks

I just had the wr long valve put on my L4400. I asked the same question, and I was told that it did not make a difference, it was personal preference. However, I went with the standard mechanical diverter valve. The way it was explained to me, is that it was a circuit, and the only difference was whether the implement opened by pushing forward on the valve handle, or closed by pushing forward on the valve handle, depending on which way the hoses were run. That being said. I wanted the electric over hydraulic set up, and the dealer talked me out of it. he said they had to many problems with it, and were reluctant to sell it to me. I realize this post is not the definitive answer you are looking for, but it is some more info. Good luck.

Thanks Davy.

I wonder what problems your dealer was seeing with the elec over hyd setup? I've not heard of any and have not had any problems myself?

It's Nelson at W. R. Long

The fluid comes from your pump into your loader valve. It comes out of the power beyond port of your loader valve into the "P" port of my valve. It goes out of the "T" port of my valve to the back of the tractor to feed your 3 point hitch, remotes, backhoe, etc. There are two black wires that come out of my valve. There are two black wires that come out of my handle along with a red wire. The red wire is the hot wire. You connect one black wire from the valve to one black wire on the handle and then the other two wires. It does not matter which of the two black wires you use. You then connect the hose from either port "A" or "B" to your attachment and then the other hose to the other port and other hose on your attachment. If for some reason you wish your attachment would close instead of open when you push one side of the rocker switch then you can take out the rocker switch and rotate it 180 degrees and put it back in or you can reverse the hoses at the "A" and "B" ports. Bottom line it does not matter if it is "A" or "B".

Davy, would you do me a favor. Could you please let me know who it was at the dealership that said they were having problems with the valve kit. We sell a bunch of the valve kits and there are problems, but not many. Also, If I do not get a call or check forums like this then I do not know about the issues. Our goal is to make these kits as easy as possible to install and to make them as reliable as possible.

FYI we sell 15 of the electric over hydraulic valve kits for every 1 of the selector valve kit that we sell. I would say that 90% of the selector valve kits we sell are because we have not designed an electric over hydraulic kit for that particular loader or the loader valve does not have a power beyond port.

You can call me at 252-823-4570

Thanks for your help,

Nelson
