Small rotary cutter for Kuboto B5100?
I'd like to add a rotary cutter to my Kubota B5100D4WD, see pic. My manual says max capacity is 44" 250#. Everything I find is larger and heavier. I won't need to use it a lot - so light duty is OK. Any thoughts? I would consider a 3pt finish mower but would like to keep the cost below $500. Thanks for the advice!

Re: Small rotary cutter for Kuboto B5100?
My manual for my b7500hst has simular specs. What's the pto horse power? Mine is 16 and my dealer says a 48" rotary cutter will work just fine. I've checked out a few - KK, Howse, and bushhog, any would work. The KK and Howse go for around $550 and the bushhog was $800. They will all cut up to 1". I will wait to see if anyone will have a sale this fall for mine. A 3pt finish mower is quite expensive.

I would give First Choice a call and see if they have anything that will fit your tractor. They are great people and make very excellent and competetivly priced implements.

Re: Small rotary cutter for Kuboto B5100?
Bruce,
I also have a B5100 4WD I tried pretty hard here in N.E. Oklahoma to get a rotary cutter small enough to fit it. But no one here was able or willing to get me one as small as I needed I found this one at http://www.sweettractors.com/compact.html#bigbee (Big Bee 38”) I was worried about buying it from a dealer I did not know plus I had never heard of the manufacturer. Plus I really worried about shipping cost. I sent an email to Sweet Tractor and they where able to answer some of my questions and give me a price for shipping. They also gave me a break on the price if I would take a display model that was faded from setting out side in the sun.
It only took 5 days for it to be shipped to me. I have had it for about 4 months now and I am still happy with it and would buy it again. It chews up any saplings I can run over with my B5100. I tell people it is a rock, stick and terrapin throwing machine.
I will also try and answer any questions you might have.
