    Default Maschio Rotary Tiller

I lucked up and got this tiller for free. I dont know much about them. Are there any do's or dont's that I need to be aware of? It is made in Italy. It is a 42 inch model that will offset.

Sweet find!!! I can't see a pto driveline in the photos, does it have a slip clutch? If you have a lot of roots or rocks, that will help protect the tractor. Don't forget to check oil levels...

I actually had the shaft off at the time because I had to clean it up. The tractor end of the shaft was stored in the dirt. I worked on that for about two hours with a wire brush and a file before it was usable.

I am not sure what the "slip clutch" thing is but I am going to do a googe search to find out. Thank you for the response

Yes you got lucky, I just paid four hundred for a 50 inch tiller identical to yours.Mind is a 1995 model that's been sitting outside without being used for about nine years I've been told. It has some deep rust in spots.Mine has a Waltershceid pto shaft with a slip-clutch and it also came with a shear bolt connection. I need new pto shaft which if I knew was so expensive I would have tried to bargain more on the price. I haven't had the slip-clutch apart yet to see if it is salvageable. I think Landpride uses the same setup on their tillers.I did get an owners manuel for it but before the seller found it I email the company and they were very helpful. If you have any questions just ask this is also a learning experience for me also.
