Pieter, if you sent me the contact info for the FC dealer in Athens, GA, (Will?) I lost it. Thought I'd post here for the benefit of others. Any other "local" (to Atlanta) FC dealers are welcome to weigh in too!

Hello! First Choice can sell to several dealers in or near Athens (Redstone Equipment for instance), but I don't think any of them are stocking his equipment. I'm out of the country right now (I was in Athens, GREECE yesterday) so I don't have any phone numbers.

If you give First Choice a call they'll tell you where the nearest dealer with the equipment in stock.

Are there any other forum memebers near Athens, GA?

I was just looking back at box blade and First Choice threads and noticed you were from around Athens. I live up around Neese (on the way to Ila on Hwy 106).

Are there any dealers around who stock First Choice in the area? What I am realy looking for is a used box blade in the 48"-60" range.

I know where Neese is. You must be near Billy Faulkner's place. He's got the biggest collection of old tractors and parts I've ever seen. He's a great person to work with, and he sometimes has used implements (mostly for bigger tractors).I'd buy a 54" box blade if First Choice made one, but for now I've got an 4' box blade that I use.Redstone equipment can order First Choice equipment, but the last time I was out there they didn't have a thing in stock. I don't know anyone around here who stocks their equipment. As far as prices go, I paid $200 for my used box blade. It is reasonably heavy duty and has three shanks. Will

Hey Will, where is Billy F's place? I do have the old Farmall "B" out there that could use a few pieces....

You'll find him at 6934 Hwy 106. He's listed in the Athens white pages. It isn't an official business, so you won't find him in the yellow pages. He buys a lot of tractors in South Georgia, fixes them up and sells them. He works on old American made tractors, and I think he's really good, and reasonable too.

Will,

Thank you. I will check with Redstone. What I really need is a used one. I am a graduate student in forestry and wildlife management at UGA which limits my tractor obsession.

I live just south of Billy on 106 about .5 miles north of the new school. Billy is a great guy. He has helped me with some information, but he doesn't think much of imported tractors and doesn't work on them.

Robert,We're getting closer and closer. I'm in the math department, so my office is just up the hill from your building. I'll keep an eye out for used box blades, and if First Choice ever makes a 54" model, I'll sell mine and buy it.Will
