John Deere 430
Hello,

I have a JD 430 Diesel Garden tractor with a Category 0 3 point hitch. It is an awesome tractor, but has the drawback of having a Cat 0, 3 pt hitch.

I got to thinking and wondering if it would be possible to put a quick hitch on the 3 pt that would adapt from a Cat 0 to a Cat 1 implement hitch.

I did find a company that makes a quick hitch for it, but it is Cat 0 to Cat 0. (Warrior Quick Hitch)

Does anyone know of a company making a hitch that adapts from 0 to 1?

Thanks,

Jeff

Sounds like something you would have to fabricate on your own. That's something that probably no manufacturer would offer for sell because they might fear liability issues by "encouraging" the use of CAT 1 attachments to a tractor that was designed to use CAT 0 attachments. I did fabricate a little bracket that let me use a 4ft CAT 0 rake on a tractor with a CAT 1 hitch. See the picture. I eventually sold that rake because I bought a bigger tractor and am now looking for a 5 or 6ft rake. My little bracket worked great though, because all I had to do was unbolt it and then turn the CAT 0 pins back around and it could be used on a CAT 0 tractor again.

John Deere makes a quick hitch for cat 0 hitches. I had one on my X495. They look like an up-side-down "V". One half mounts on the tractor and one half mounts on the tiller or what ever implement you have. The only draw back is you have to mount one on every implement you have and each half cost me $169 several years ago.

Did you ever buy the Warrior cat 0 hitch?

If so, how do you like it?

Are there any other brand cat 0 quick hitches?

Thanks!

Has anyone used the Carter and Sons quick hitch?I am thinking of ordering them and was wondering if they are any good?
They look like the bees knees.

They'll give sub-cuts a couple more inches of lift too.
