Went to the local dealer today to get pricing on a landscape rake with guage wheels. He sells a Befco 6 foot with guage wheels for around 650 incl tax. I also saw a Woods 6 ft rake with wheels and a drop down
blade with box blade type ends. I am purchasing the rake to maintain a beach on my property and about 500 ft of road gravel drive. Has anyone had experience with using a rake with the drop down blade, He is asking 850 for the Woods unit. Seems high but it does seem like a very welll built rake plus if the blade with end units functions as a box blade for my needs this may be the way to go. I understand Landpride also makes a similar combo. Thanks for any help with this decision. I have been reading on TBN that implement prices appear to be more than just creeping up and now I get to experience it myself!

Try a search on landscape rakes and you will get some hits. I remember reading some things about the drop down blade here on the forum recently.

I have the Frontier equivalent of the Woods rake and blade. See attached. Frontier is made by Woods. This is a real nice attcahment. Have used it to groom old logging trails I have. It saves time not having to change attachments. Both rake and blade functions work great.

Thanks , tdenny and rancar for the advice. It is good to know that there are users of this combo product that are very satisfied. I went back to the prior postings on landscape rakes and found a treasure trove of info. TBN is a remarkable resource.
