I have a bobcat brand SG60 stump grinder that I want to use on a ASV RC100. The electrical connector is different. Does anyone know where I can buy the male end of the electrical quick attachment so I can rewire it to work on the ASV? Or does anyone make an adaptor?

If that grinder has a 7 pin conector now your pretty much sol as far as plug and play. The Bobcat 7 pin is a proprietary computer system that plays with no one elses. There is no such adapter. All other atttachment brands are controlled with simple dc current, but that would be to easy for Bobcat.
A fellow just went through this with one of their blowers. The thread is here

Its possible but with some creative wiring. Bobcat won't sell you anything that will make it work, unless you want a new skidsteer.

I am sure it can be done. The 7 pin connector goes to 2 plugs on the other end. One is a 2 pin and has a orange and black wire approx 16 gauge. THe second is an 8 pin connector, but it only has 4 wires in it. A black an orange a blue and a white. The guy on the other thread you listed said his white wires were the positive. It seems at first glance that my orange ones are the positives.

ASV Dealer can order a male plug end for my machine for $115 plus shipping and tax. So I have it ordered, well see what happens!

The coils are 12v dc (we figured, but he did have one quit/ burn out and I believe he is still waiting for snow, so it has only been tested, not really used so far) and basically he bypassed some black box of voodoo in the middle of the blowers harness and wired the coils to 12v dc.

Shame they can't make it plug and play though. Bad Bobcat, BAD BAD......:D
Keep us posted

I found a guy online that said he got a snowblower to work on his cat machine. I called his Bobcat dealer (Bobcat of Green Bay) and they said that they can sell me all the parts to make it work. I think that it's gonna cost about $450..... I will keep everyone posted!

Does the stump grinder have a solenoid valve that controls the fluid going to the stump grinder? Is it one valve, 2 or 3.

If it is , then you can rig up a switch and clips for it to work.

there are readily available "stand-alone" controllers that can be used to run such attachments. they are basically a third joystick that you just magnetically stick somewhere in your cab, and it has little buttons on it, like a bobcat joystick. the little buttons control the attachment functions. all they need is 12v in, and a ground. the little controller and its own wiring harness then are attached to the machine, and you end up w/a plug on the boom, much like one factory "made".

i used to install these all the time in machines owned by people who wanted to run bobcat brand snowblowers on other branded machinery. i cant for the life of me remember the name of the manufacturer.
