I have a BX25 that I would like to put a snowblower on. But with no experience with a rear mounted. Any suggestions as to what might be better or easier, convenient.....?

Rear are cheaper, especially used as are universal to a 3 point hitch and front mount tend to relatively customized to each tractor. Do you have a mid-PTO - without one you'd need either very expensive hydraulic PTO-power pack and lines to front blower or a transmission system to route power to the front. Front of course if easier on neck and to see, rear does allow continued use of FEL.

I have a rear and mid PTO. My understanding is that the front is more $ and easier on the neck and back and I suppose that its all relevant to how much snow you're throwing....but I am figuring that if I went with the front mount, then I will need/want a rear blade.....it just keeps getting deeper and deep deeper, and my shed(workshop) is only so big.

The age-old debate.... I've got a front-mount working from the mid-PTO, which I ordered with my tractor; in fact that was the main reason for buying the thing.

Yep, it's quite a bit more money. Yep, I'm real happy with it and don't regret it one bit.

Clear your own path as you go, throw snow far enough that it's not a worry anymore. Chew through banks. Go where no man has gone bef.... Oops- wrong show..... :D

I've decided that this year i'm going to end this debate and add a rear blower to my current tractor.

We will need pictures, of course! :D I really think we should get Islandtractor to put both on his DK. Sometimes folks don't take us seriously........

Sure, having a front mounted snow blower makes things easier, but I'm not about to give up my front end loader to do it. I've been cranking backwards for some 29 years now, so I guess I can keep on doing it! :)

I am hoping I can run a "customized" 3PH snowblower mounted on my FEL. The customizing will mean fastening q quick attach plate to the 3ph of the blower.

I will then see if the tractor hydraulics at 16.8 GPM will be enough to power the blower and, if not, I will us a PTO Hydraulic Pump with a 15-20 gal reservoir to power the blower.

My neck and back are looking forward (no pun intended) to the relief.
