Re: ebay 3 pt 5 foot mower
Just a tip for eBay buyers --
Auctions on hot items like this one are always decided in the final second of bidding. The only way you can expect to win is to decide for yourself what the most is you are willing to pay for the item and submit a proxy bid.
This way you will never pay more than necessary to win (up to the max you chose), and it ensures that you will be in the running right through that final second.
I never won an auction until I started using proxy bids, and since then I've gotten some very good deals.
p.s. If you already know all this, please disregard.

I won't disregard because I didn't know that Harv and will certainly find the info useful in the event I ever do bid on something. Certainly you aren't dispelling my earlier comment about being WAY too talented!

Re: ebay 3 pt 5 foot mower
Wife and I have literally spent thousands on ebay. Traditionally, I will monitor an item and place a bid in the last 2 or 3 minutes for those that I want. Got a real nice 27 Model T tudor for 3000 that way.

Scruffy have you been to the land that you bought on ebay?
The wife and I have spent quite abit as well got some great deals on tools and kids clothes! Also have bought a couple of chainsaws as well great deals on those too. Bid what your willing to pay you win some and you lose some.
The best deals are the week after christmas! I've got my best deals then.

Re: ebay 3 pt 5 foot mower
Gordon, yes we have, but then I knew the area pretty well, and was quite aware of how the land would be. It is quite what I expected. Snow up to the rump in the winter, down as low as -30 degrees, up to 95 in the summer (dry though) 10" average moisture (snow and rain) per year, roughly 20 miles off the highway, and 45 miles to K/Falls. Best of all, 2 miles to some great fishing from the main property. Our seasonal property (open 5 mos. of the year) is right between two lakes, mile to either one. Good fishing there also! That's where the wife wants to build, and to get snowed in every winter. I am not sure I want that part!
