That "Toothed ice breaker plow blade" looks similar to what they put on the town grader around here. There is a quarter mile stretch of gravel road leading to a stop sign, with trees on the south side of the road. It ices by December and stays until the very end of the spring thaw. A couple times a season they groove the ice and it gives you a LOT more traction.
You would probably need a pretty heavy three point attachment to get enough down pressure to effectively groove the ice, but it does help a lot.
