I bought a Bark Buster screw type wood splitter and I need to get a PTO shaft for it. My question is do I have to get one with a shear pin like the ones for snowblowers or some post hole diggers or a straight forward shaft will do. I don't know if they originally came with either or as the one I bought has no PTO shaft. If anyone can offer info on this that would be great.
Thanks

Ps: YES!!!! I do know that they are dangerous!!!

Ohhh, mine is out in a snow drift now, and it is minus 19 I believe - batteries froze in the thermometer. I _think_ that is the brand I have?

I believe it has a bolt in the round shaft of the buster, aqnd this bolt acts as the shear pin? Been a couple years since I used it, been cutting up a lot of small trees, haven't split wood in a while.
