Hello everyone thanks for all the help so far on everything else, now onto my new dilemma.I have a case 870 Agri King I just bought and put back together. Now I am told they make a loader attatchment for this tractor, does anyone know about one?? What make or model will fit? I heard of a 35bhoe, does that mean of anything??Thanks for all the help.

There should be plenty available for that model tractor. The price will depend on the loader but a new one would probably be around 8,000 easily enough depending on how equipped.

When they built those tractors everything was quite universal. Where are you located? Freight today is a killer for something like a loader.

If you are color blind you could be in trouble. I believe it was great bend who built the loaders for them to begin with. The same basic loader was used on most 80 to 130 horsepower plus or minus a bit for most makes as they were the big boys in loaders then. They were not quick disconnect at the bucket or from the tractor.

Art I am located in upstate NY (albany area) I have been to a few auctions but trying to figure out what fits is the problem I am not sure where or what to measure to see what would work , I am sure a JD ,case, IH will probably all work just figuring it out is the problem:D

I just put a Westendorf WL-42 on a 1070 Case. I bought the loader used with 55 series JD mounts and converted it to fit. Wasn't a hard job but that is kind of down my line profession wise. I found the loader listed on the Tractorhouse site. I was also watching Fastline, Deere Tracs, etc. If you go to the manufacturers sites, some have information on what fits you're tractor. If you're going new you're likely to spend in the 10 to 12k by the time you get a joy stick set up. Less if you're willing to use the tractor remotes. Some used loaders out there, but not necessarily easy to find.

Kim- Yea I am looking in the used side of loaders I wasnt to try to only spend a few thousand. Do you know where I would have to measure on my tractor and off the loader to make sure it will fit..I saw a bunch go at an auction in dec but I didnt know what would or wouldnt fit. They all look about the same but there has got to be a difference.

I would get a measurement from the front of the cab to the end of the hood and compare that measurement to that from the back of the uprights that the loader frame pivots on to the cross member that ties the two sides of the loader frame together. I would want those measurements to be about the same. Every bit that the loader is longer is that much more the loader sticks out front. Also get a width measurement of the front bolster of the tractor and make sure the loader attachment is wide enough. Are you looking for a quick attach type or the old style mounted to the back axle type? I don't know how much size difference in frames there are between the 870 and a 970/1070, but I was looking for a Westendorf WL42 because of the ease of taking it off and putting it back on. My second choice would have been a Miller P12. I also liked the looks of ALO Quickies but they are more money. My dad has a Koyker K5 on his 970 and that seems to be a pretty good fit but not real easy on and off. I don't know what you're uses will be but I would want a bucket as wide as the tractor tires so if you're pushing dirt of snow you're not driving on the windrows left by the bucket. Probably want it least a 7' if not 8' wide. Are you going to want to swap attachments, say from the bucket to pallet forks? If so look for one with a quick attach feature. If you find one, look for repairs made and if they look OK. Check for wear at all the pins. Sight across the top of the frame and see if its twisted. Check for evidence of hydraulic leaks, hose condition, does it include a valve that you can use? You're not likely going to find a loader with the mounts for the 870 so you'll be modifying what comes with it, buying new from the manufacturer, searching dealers, or building from scratch. Is this going to be a do it yourself project or are you going to have to hire it done? Good luck with you're search! It took me about 3 months and had to drive about 350 miles to retrieve mine. Hope this helps.

In the days of the Case tractor that you are mentioning there are many that will work. We have one in our yard off a 826 IH tractor that would probably fit with little problem.

In measuring not only is the length critical for the mounts but the width of the rear mount is also a critical measurement. Most companies had spacers that were any where from 1/2" to several inches to meet the differences of frame width.
