Does anyone know of a good place to get some good bolt-on hooks to attach to the bucket of a front end loader? I've seen some weld-on type hooks but would prefer the bolt-on myself. I just can't seem to find much on the net when I try to search for them. Maybe I'm not searching for the right thing. All I seem to find are more like the tow hooks that you see on big SUVs under the front bumper. That would probably work but seems like there ought to be something made for a bucket.

thanks in advance for any help.

Davidsan,

I just took some 3/8 hooks and had them welded to some plate steel and bolted them to my bucket....I get time I'll take a picture.

I dont know if there is a particular type of hook needed for tractor use but I have bought these type bolt on hooks for my 4x4 trucks etc,

I think the the suggestion of welding the hook to a wider pc of plate steel is a good idea and then bolting the plate to the bucket,

Hi Davidsan
If what you are preferring is the grab hook in a bolt on type,I think you are out of luck. What weedpharma shows is the closest you're going to get. The slip hook is the only one that is bolt on.
IMO,the weld on grab hook is probably the best bet,but you need to have it done or do it yourself,if you know welding.
Weld on would also require the most "cleanup" work, touchup or repainting.
Hope this helps:)

This has come up before...and I bought 12 weld on hooks to weld to drilled plates to offer to those who don't have welder's, but I never got them built-I guess I should?

I agree with those who suggested getting weld on hooks and welding them to small pieces of plate then bolting to the bucket top ledge. This is what I did.

If you don't want to do welding, then another option you can use is to bolt a small plate to the bucket ledge that extends a little bit out past the front edge and drill a hole thru and use a pin on type of hook like this

someone here has done this. Do a search and you will probably find the thread.

This is what I suggest whenever this subject comes up.
