JD 4320
I have a JD 4320 and recently purchased a used 448 BH. I have everything attached to the tractor but having an allignment issue that does not let me get the L pins in the mounting brackets. I have seen a few other posts of people using car jacks or the hydralics to get it in place. It seems that adjusting the raise height of the 3pt hitch would fix my problem.

Anyone know how this is adjusted? Some pictures are included...

Don't know about the 4000 20 series, but on my 3320 the rockshaft adjustment is an easy thing.

Also, no need for car jacks and stuff. Backup to the hoe as if you were going to use the rockshaft to lift the hoe, shutdown the tractor, hook the hoe hoses up to the tractor, start the tractor and use the hoe stabilizers to lift the hoe into position, insert the pins.

Be careful.

My brother has a BX24 Kubota with a detachable backhoe.
He does the same thing when installing it. Back up to it, connect the hoses, then uses the stabilizers, etc to line up the pins.

Ditto on what others said. I use the stabilizers and bucket to set the backhoe for my JD5325 and then set the undercarriage pins.

I use the stabilizers to attach the lower mount. Once it is seated, I raise the stabilizers just off the ground ~3 inches or so and with the boom and dipper extended (not completely..) curl the bucket so it's flat-faced on the ground.

Then use the boom-dipper-bucket curl to roll the frame back into the top pin holes.
