I found a used 6ft box blade. I have no clue to the make or model but he sent me a picture. I am using a john deere 3120. Do you think this attachment will hold up. He is asking 400 dollars. It looks pretty light duty to me. This looks like the one you can get from tractor supply and such. Thanks alot

Please see the attached photo.

Depends on what you're trying to do with it. My tractor is comparable to yours HP and weight, and I destroyed one similar to that on an immovable root. The Frontier I have now is much heavier built.

From what I can see, Yes, light duty around the 3ph connection... it surely was not used too much... so that is why he has it priced on the higher side. If you plan to hit roots or rocks, I hope you have a welder to make it beefier...

That box blade is comparable to a County Line, Farm Force, XB type KK.

I'd like to have it, frankly, and I wouldn't push it too far. I would realize it useful limitations. That said, I'd like to pay 275-300 for it. :)

I think If I can get it for 300 I will buy it. I am looking for a heavier duty one so I dont have to worry about it. How much was the frontier one. I have the frontier brushog and never had a problem. I guess I may ahve to call my john deere delaer and price theirs out.

I'd say yes BUT if it can be had for $300-350 I'd buy it. Get it home and beef it up some and go with it. Like others have said, use it and get a feel for it's limitations. If you do, be advised, we'll expect a new thread in the Customization forum on it!:D

Checked several dealers with 60 mile radius. Prices all over the map from $720 to $960. I got this one.

Here is a hundred dollar 7' used Bush Hog. A little reinforcing, straightening, couple used grader blades, and it will be back to work. Even my new Woods model has lighter metal in places it should be stronger. Its hard to pay new price for used attachments.

Dont know what your 3120 weighs and pulls, but even with my 3011 (about 1800kg 2wd) i tend to bend anything with Cat 1 pins, even a pasture drag/chain harrow wont stand the time.

When i hook it to the 5245 (with loader, weighs about 4 ton) and back into a tree, it will just fold it in half.

I would turn loose those bolts and put a 28mm (cat 2 diameter) high strength rod (such as a hydraulic cylinder piston rod) all the way through both holes. That would make it a whole different animal.

It is certainly not an attachment built to my standards... but thats why i build most stuff myself... ;)
